Realistic Way to Change Password on a Thousand Different Websites?
Victim of fraud twice in the last couple of months. One from someone breaking into my sandwich rewards account and using it to pickup a sandwich, and just yesterday someone booked a hotel through a booking site where I had my credit card saved.
I used a standard password for a lot of sites that has since been compromised in dozens of breeches, and I have changed the password in all of the new sites I am actively using and am using a password generator with strong unique passwords for every site now, but I started the process of actually going through and trying to change the password of even old sites I have forgotten about, but with around 1000 sites listed in my password vault, and say it took 3 minutes to change the password on every site, that’s 50 hours!
Is there any strategy to figuring out which sites might be higher priority to change the password on first, or is there any kind of automation that would help? I know lastpass, being the hot dumpster fire that it is, did at least have some amount of password changing automation on popular sites. Not sure if it would be worth trying to pay for it briefly just to take advantage of it, or if there were some other automation tool to help with this seemingly impossible task.
