Planning my first grow(outdoors in MN) & gathering tips/advice/etc.

Hello mephHeads! I'm looking to start gearing up to grow some sweet autos in my backyard this summer in Minnesota. I've got the Outdoor bundle from Mephisto on the way with AvT, Samsquanch OG, & Marley's Grin, (along with some non-Mephs as well) but I'm most excited for these:)

I'm looking at running sub irrigated planters, and wanting to keep things pretty simple. I'm fitting to run 2 strains at a time, 2 plants of each. I thought that would also allow me to potentially compare different mediums or other variables if I so wish.

Generally I'm just looking for tips that apply to growing Meph autos outdoors in Minnesota early summer climate. I'm not a very knowledgeable gardener but tend to have good intuitive success growing things, plus I've recently been reading up lots on cannabis cultivation, there's just so many ways to get great results! Looking for input on all of it - medium/amendment/nutrients/tips/tricks/pest prevention/etc, for a beginner.
