It's a strange world

General Discussion

How did following Qur'an and Sunnah and implementing the teachings in real life become "extreme" and having a laissez faire approach to the religion and not really practicing become the "middle path"?

How come a brother growing his beard is "too extreme" and a brother shaving his beard looking like a virgin girl (clearly against the Sunnah) become the norm?

We have to reframe our approach towards Islam. Islam (i.e. Qur'aan and Sunnah) is the middle path. Anything less is too lenient. Anything beyond is too extreme.

May Allaah grant us firm understanding of His Deen and allow us to practice His prescribed way of life.
