What are your experiences with a ruptured ovarian cyst?

Hi all. I recently was diagnosed with a dermoid cyst on my ovary which has been causing a lot of pain. About three days ago the pain increased, so I went to the e.r because they told me to come back if my pain worsened. I held off for a bit but finally I just needed to go because the pain was that bad. They told me I had another cyst but this one had ruptured and that's what is causing the pain. They gave me Tramadol during my visit, a morphine shot before I left, and told me to take a Norco when I got home. Even with all the medicine in me I was STILL in terrible pain. It's now been 24 hours and the pain hasn't decreased at all. This is like day three of this awful pain. Has anyone else experienced similar? Is it common to have such bad pain for so long with a ruptured cyst? I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance usually but this is some of the worst pain ever! Any tips, tricks, advice?
