Short term household insurance for properties next to a body of water

Do any of you know of short term household insurance companies that take issue with the property being next to a body of water?

The short of it is that the complex and the complex is inside and estate. The complex is next to a watercourse/drainage channel. Recently the estate owner decided to let the water dam up instead of flowing directly wherever it eventually collects downstream. The dam overflow works fine, so unless there's heavy flooding the dam should overflow into the complex, and even then it's unlikely.

The thing is, I know for a fact that some insurers take issue with properties next to water, so I'd like to raise the matter at the next AGM, even though I personally like the little damn, bar the extra hoard of mosquitos. The thing is, I'd really like to avoid phoning God knows how many insurers just to find out.

Has anyone here had experience with this that they're willing to share?
