Carfax report: how to investigate on "other damage"?

Hey guys, i'm not going to get this car. but i'm curious about the claim "other damage" on this GLC300. How do i investigate the damage? The car is listed on dealership website. When i asked the saleman. He said he doesn't know what happened. Plus he took that as a trade-in. Then said it normal to have this much money spent on fixing a MB car.
