Does anyone else get less content on Netflix with VPN on?

I remembered I could use a VPN in order to get around geo restrictions on Netflix, worked just fine for the first few days, I was super glad. Now I noticed that it actually started stripping content off me when I was on my VPN, so I actually have less content with VPN on than when I'm just browsing it as is. Obviously I use a USA VPN because they seem to have the most content there and I haven't been changing it.

Perhaps it's just a glitch, I don't know. But I guess it's time to buy a USB drive for my router and set up a home media library instead
