Touchpad

Perhaps this is a silly question.... But I can't see it answered anywhere

I'm on PC - if I buy a Nacon Unlimited Pro V1/2/3 does the touchpad work the same way as a DS4 controller? I'm using DS4 atm but I want the dpad and Lstick swapped positions, but keep the touchpad....
Will the Nacon touchpad still track my movements so I can use it as a mouse?

Or does it just have clickable buttons and read swipe-up, swipe-down etc.

I *think* I'm looking at the V1 so I can set the back buttons as macros
