Hello: assisting a home-based business person, How should this person be most compliant in using a property camera, if in a state with audio consent & privacy laws, to protect from theft & bad actors around?
Would a sign be mandatory? A camera that only records video?

A toggle on/off is most likely never compliant as such camera inherently records audio?
