Project ideas to work on for internship apps?
Hey all, I'm a 3rd term student applying for summer jobs / internships / volunteer positions and am trying to find projects to add so I can hopefully find some kinda help desk 1 position.
I know a little bit about,
- Java and C# coding (tiny bit, I suck at it) and using SQL. Some CSS/HTML knowledge.
- Some networking classes. Experience using packet tracer, putty and wireshark so have to find proper tools to study with. I welcome better resources then Cisco NetAcad for studying btw.
- Currently have an Ubuntu server with Docker hosting Minecraft servers for people and a NAS, could try to turn that into a real project.
- Some customer service experience convincing people into giving clear information over the phone. Experience with some ticketing programs from work.
- Don't know about, but know I should study, Active Directory and PowerShell in depth. Some experience with command prompt and Linux terminal, edited a few Minecraft launch bash scripts but no real bash knowledge either.
So yeah, what kind of projects would help me get a minimum wage or unpaid internship this summer? A few professors mentioned coding an android app or something but, I'm looking more at IT, suck at coding and app development sounds exhausting to learn.
