M650 Signature not detected by Logi Options plus

I bought a M650 signature mouse; the pc detects it as a mouse both using USB and Bluetooth, but none of the Logitech apps do this (logi options/options plus/software update). They just say no device connected. I am therefore unable to customize buttons/behavior. What can I do?
