Will this setup work or not? PoE power upstream devices?
Hi there, I recently got an upgrade with my internet and it's 1200 Mbps down/200 Mbps up now(yeah Comcast sucks but that's my only choice here), but it seems my current equipment/setup cannot get full speed, only 830 Mbps down but upload is fine.
I have a CODA56 modem which suppose to run 2.5G, but connected to RB5009 with POE(which might limit the speed to 1G), then from RB5009 I have USW-Lite-8-PoE to power my AP and USW-Flex-XG, like this
To be able to utilize the 2.5G port on RB5009, I'm thinking utilizing the SFP+ port on it as Ethernet in, then use the 2.5G port to connect to my downstream switches. Therefore I need a 2.5G switch to replace the USW-Lite-8-PoE, currently I'm looking at USW-Enterprise-8-PoE which has all 2.5G PoE+ ports. Once replaced the switch it will look like this
My noob question is, will it be possible for the USW-Enterprise-8-PoE to power its upstream RB5009 via PoE? I have only use PoE to power downstream switches/APs so I'm wondering if it will work or not before go out to buy a new switch.
Thanks.
