BO2 Origins run

Ok, so I’ve been playing origins for a while now and i’ve finally got a really good run, the only problem is i have nowhere to put the upgraded staffs. They’ve all been upgraded, I have Maxis, Thunderfists and all of the generators powered up. I’m not sure if i needed to do it before a certain round but whenever i tried going into the robots or the excavation site there wasn’t anywhere to put my staffs. I’m not sure if i’m missing anything or if something is bugged. This has been the best run i’ve ever had in solos origins and i’d hate to reset because i had been playing for three hours trying to get that far.
