Anime Club Week 29: A New Type of Nominations!

This might be fun, or it might be stupid. But, when I had this idea, I simply could not let it go! So, what we are going to do is introduce themes. For example, "making music", or "color coordinated hero teams", or "exploration of outer space", or "post-singularity", or "books", or "dragons" are all valid themes. And, say, hypothetically the theme "dragons" won. Then, when we submit nominations for the next anime to watch, they all have to have something to do with dragons. In this case, Vision of Escaflowne, Tales from Earthsea (yes, anime club can watch movies too!), and heck, even Zero no Tsukaima would all be valid entries.

Themes will happen every other time. So, basically, normal vote - theme vote - normal vote - theme vote - etc. Next one will be a theme vote, and after that we go back to the good old list, and we repeat back and forth. I think this will be an awesome way to get many of us to try something completely new, maybe step out of our comfort zone a little bit.

So, what now? In the comments section, I want you to nominate themes. Anything you think of. Anything. I will behave as dictator and pick the theme that amuses me most, and we begin the nominations process with that theme next week (If you all really hate the idea of me being a dictator, then next time I'll make sure to set up a voting process on the themes.)

Heck, just to be a benevolant dictator, I'm going to propose a theme to give you an example, and then I'll make sure not to choose it! I guess you can consider it a tongue-in-cheek proposal.
