[1887] A Little Bird Told Me

Hey guys, wanted to share a snippet of the first chapter of a YA mystery I've been writing. It's about a girl who in her final year of high school becomes a player–along with the rest of the graduating class–in a game of truth or dare. The dares get more daring and the secrets more bold and soon she's trying to figure out who the game master is before everyone's secrets get blurted out.

Any feedback could help: plot, character, writing, grammar, initial thoughts. Literally anything!

I had a completely different first chapter and basically entirely rewrote it so I'm not sure if this new one works. (also it doesn't end here it's just too long to share in one chunk so I will probably share the rest later)
