First year advice for someone who’s still feeling overwhelmed by everything?

study / academia discussion

I’m a first year with just starting uni in September, what would be the best piece of genuine advice you would give to a first year (or me) for me I am a person who has felt overwhelmed since the transition from college being a perfectionist and getting Distinctions to at uni where it’s more independent and learning “this is what you got.” So looking for some advice of maybe people who are above me in that respect. I am also waiting on an assessment for ADHD so I do get overwhelmed easily, struggle with understanding topics straight away, have difficulty with taking in lots of information etc. I have reached out to the accessibility team and I have an appointment with them on 14th just looking for some advice off those who’ve actually felt the same way or who are more experienced than me.

Thanks :)
