Hey, yeah, I’m alright… well… you know! In my own way. This week’s been a lot actually.

Oh, just… confusing. You know how we were talking about… dating and all that? Well, there have been some developments. And… I think there is something I need to explore further. It’s kind of a sex thing too.

Yes, I suppose I should start at the beginning, shouldn’t I? Dating's such a minefield isn't it? Honestly. I'm happier watching Bake Off and crocheting hats for my guinea pigs. But mother told me I'd be left on the shelf if I didn't put myself out there! Ugh. So much pressure.

Anyway, it was so simple last time I did this, just let a boy buy you a couple of drinks and then finger you in the cab home. Maybe swap phone numbers. Now it’s all ‘where do you stand on abolishing the police?’ before going back to his place for a round of CNC and choking! It's enough to put anyone off. Mother said, “just find someone who shares your interests”. “But not guinea pigs, for God's sake”.

Mmm. Yes, well she is very critical. We’ll come back to that I suppose.

So I joined this… creative writing group. Um, you know… adult creative writing. At least, that's what I thought it was.
