Which usb-c to 3.5mm headphone adapter can I use with my Kyocera 902kc?

Hey guys, just bought a Kyocera 902kc, and it doesn't come with a headphone jack, so I need a usb-c to 3.5mm adapter. I read under a post on this subreddit (that I can't find anymore) that you can only use specific adapters that don't have a built in DAC for this phone, is anyone able to confirm if this is true? I know I can use bluetooth headphones with this phone but I much prefer wires- however I'm not quite clear on how to verify if an adapter will work or not.

Does anyone with a Kyocera 903/902 kc have experience with specific adapters that work for them?
