[Ender-3 V3 SE] Beginner having trouble with starting operations not working

Hi, I just got an Ender-3 V3 SE and followed the instructions to put it together. Unfortunately I must have missed a step when it came to the software as I am having a bit of trouble.

When I select the auto levelling operation, the printer begins to move but stops after a minute. I don't think it actually heats the nozzle, cleans it, or does the Z offset and I know it doesn't go to the second screen where the screen is filled with boxes that tell you which areas of the printing space are or aren't level.

Furthermore when trying to print my own files the estimated printing time is 0 but it does give an estimated printing time for the pre-made cat file on the drive (around 1 hour and 50 minutes).

I think the problem is I need to do a software update but I am not certain and am a little lost on where to find one and how to do it. Has anyone experienced this before and/or know how to fix it?
