couple notes from calls to FSA and nelnet.

Have approved letter for Sweet/Cardona indicating refund of loans.

ITT Full class, all loans paid off, looking for refund only.

Called FSA, robotic type call taker let me know that "it's up to the servicer" to determine loans to be refunded.

Called Nelnet after 30 minute wait. Talked to 1st call taker, he escalated to supervisor, waited another 30 minutes on hold.

Supervisor indicated that January 28th was the deadline for FSA to send Nelnet information, not their deadline to issue refunds.

That is news to me.

Also supervisor indicated that they are only going back 7 years on loans to be refunded, anything older than 7 years would not be refunded.

Again this is something I have never heard.

She closed by saying since I have a federal to federal consolidation it would take them quite a while to unravel all of it and determine the refund. No ETA given whatsoever.
