SEP IRA Contribution

Hi all,

I am considering starting a SEP IRA account. In terms of funding, can I put some of the stocks that I own from my brokerage account? Or do I need to come in with new funds? I don't want to tie up more cash than I need to and want to use existing stock holdings.
