Striker vs. Heartbreaker + Brazos/NinjaBP

Ok, for those theory crafters out there, I just recently discovered how powerful the +50% mag size for 3pc belstone can be when paired with striker/ninjabike bp. While dps may appear lower because you're giving up the bag to get 1% vs. 0.65% per stack (or not using memento which can quickly yield a consistent 30% dmg increase for prolonged periods), when paired with St Elmos, you end up with a 105rnd mag which allows you to pump out a lot more damage in the same time period because you're not reloading. When coupled with obliterate on the chest piece and good team synergy, I am getting crit headshots that can sometimes exceed 1mil, but regularly score in the high 500k to 600k range.

But recently I've been thinking that maybe if I'm already giving up the striker chest/backpack, maybe switching striker to heartbreaker would be a better way to go running running intimidate instead of obliterate. And at that point, maybe switching to the chameleon over St. Elmos because with a 75rnd mag, I could more quickly/easily activate the bonuses and at close range, I can chew through enemies while stacking bonus armor.

My main questions are these:

  • Have any of you experimented with this? What were your thoughts?
  • I currently run scanner pulse + shield for my striker build. Any suggestions on changes to my skills if I switch to heartbreaker?
  • Does the math make sense to trade heartbreaker chest/bag for intimidate/ninjabp given the benefits or am I screwing myself over with that decision?
  • Any other guns/gun talents or chest talents I should consider for either my striker or heartbreaker build?

My main focus is group-oriented PvE with a focus on Summit, Raids, and eventually, incursions. Just curious if I'm heading down a path that has probably already been explored and if there are better builds that would work.
