Could a bot equivalent of Google Alerts be created?

Could a bot be created where it's like Google Alerts (that service that emails you a notice whenever someone makes a webpage/post containing a keyword you want the service to monitor for you) except it enters the updates in a channel of your choosing in the server, either by detecting Google search results itself or by having Google Alerts send data to the bot via text/email which it then relays in the server?

We've thought it over, and, if trustworthiness wasn't an issue, we'd hypothetically pay for a bot like this as long as it was under the price of a modern console game, assuming someone wanted to charge for it like people typically ask for (would be super glad to see it free).

WARNING: IF YOU WANT TO GET PAID, DON'T MAKE THE BOT UNTIL A DEAL IS GIVEN THE GREENLIGHT BY BOTH SIDES!!!!!!!! I can't begin to tell you how often people say "I made this bot you described on a whim just now, now pay up" before any comprehension of whatever details are decided regarding what such a deal would entail. That smells like a scam.
