Just wanted to ask we have a 5 year old rottie named River. He started limping about a week or so ago, we noticed it after he yelped trying to get on to our taller bed. He's now probably 115lbs and we do have a lot of stairs in the house as you can see in the picture. We figured he may have been injured on the jump, didn't think much of it at the time. Now we are about 8 days into this and he doesn't seem to be getting better, it's not getting any worse really just not healing. He continues to limp on the side I have circled in the photo.

As of recently, he has started to lick and bite at the area I have circled in the photo. We do live in an area with ticks and had pulled some off of him this last summer and fall. We check him and tick bath him pretty frequently. With it being the end of February, the last time we pulled a tick off of him was prior to Christmas. I am worried that it could be lymes but he is still eating, drinking, urinating and pooping just fine.

Money is a little tight right now until the 2nd week of March but wanted to see if you guys had any advice for our poor guy. Hims a good boy and we hate seeing him like this. Do you know the average costs of lymes test and treatment? Does it sound like it could be lymes? I know arthritis can run in rotties and we are praying it's nothing of that sort. Any advice from previous experience or knowledge would be appreciated!

Our boy is limping!
