chemdrama who?!
Hi. Welcome! Who am I? I'm u/chemdrama. I'm a 20-something non-binary, pansexual person somewhere in the UTC timezone. I love reading, writing, and roleplaying, and I'm on DPP because of those things and the extra sugar on top that you get out of participating in NSFW writing.
What am I here for? I'm here to write with people. I like character-driven stories, worldbuilding and creative prose because it makes me happy and gets my brain fizzing. I also like romance, drama, erotica, and outright smut liberally distributed through my writing, also because it makes me happy, and because it gets my body fizzing.
How do I write? In a way that I think my partner expects and is most interested in. What does that mean, specifically?
- Perspective: First- or third-person. Often first for a "main character", and third for others or for narration.
- Length: I write as much as I'm interested in writing. Often that's at least 200 words across three paragraphs or so. Less often, it's much more. Even less often, it's less. I try to fit the form of my writing (as well as the contents, of course) to the mood of the moment.
- Frequency: We'll talk about it. Usually, long-term, I can commit to about one post per day. If I'm super engrossed or don't have much else to do in a day, I'll write more.
- Platform: By far and away, the medium I prefer, check most often, and engage with best, has been Reddit messages. That's DMs, by the way, and not Reddit Chat.
- Story vs. Smut: Depends on my mood, but on average I'd guess I'm usually at a ratio like 51:49 in favour of smut, at least. The non-NSFW stuff is better if it's a journey or in service to the NSFW stuff.
Who do I write with? Pretty much anyone. I don't really care who you are behind the screen. I do care that you take the time and effort to make sure what you write is creative and compelling.
I prefer honesty and openness — any of us can walk away any time we want; that bit's easy and not always rewarding. Taking time to give feedback, express a preference, suggest a direction, or assert a boundary is more demanding, but the payoff is usually worth it. Try it!
Who do I write about? Pretty much anyone. - The key thing about me is that I'm a pleaser; I enjoy the challenge and feeling of knowing that I'm writing someone that my partner finds interesting, captivating, attractive, whatever: whatever it is that makes my partner want to keep writing with me.
- Gender: I'm non-binary, and there are days or scenarios that feel like they ask me to be more masculine — and likewise moments or moods that I'll be more feminine in. Likewise, my preference in other writers' characters isn't a hard and fast rule.
- Position: I'm a true switch, in that I enjoy playing both dominant and submissive characters. And I try not to forget the balance that exists in the spectrum between D and S.
What am I into? When it comes to smut, kinks, fetishes, whatever: I like to keep my options open. There are lots of things that are a "yes" to me at almost all times, and a limited set of things that are always a "no".
- My kinklist: If all this text is getting boring, check this out:
- No, never: In erotica, I will never enjoy child abuse, a focus on unwashed characters or especially unhygeinic acts, and absurdly unrealistic/hyper sizes.
