I believe it was an ebook, it starts with a girl in college and then nuclear bomb drops. She's taken by aliens and learns that they were only able to save handful of humans. She learns to love the alien guy. The humans at one point plan to escape but learn that earth was destroyed . I remember the ending because she meets his parents and his mother and father did not speak the same language but they still learned to love each other in their own way.
