Luxurious roomy used vehicle for 4 with 40 mpg. High dependibility.

I'm thinking Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Mazda. Maybe a couple others.

It will be a commuter and road-tripper and also transport kids so safety is critical. High MPGs due to driving 20k miles per year.

It could be car size (think Avalon) up to Crossover/SUV (think Edge) size but not something quite as big as a Highlander or Explorer.

Luxurious. We want heated leather seats (cooled seats and heated steering wheel is a plus). We want materials on the dash that are nice to touch.

We will drive it into the ground so something that can get us 300k miles worry-free with proper maintenance is important.

I just don't know about sizes of vehicles nowadays, nor all the offerings with all the crossovers and some which are hybrid or not. I trust Toyota's hybrids but know nothing about Honda's.
