Gun training with a guildmate. (Lorepost with Lex)

Repnir arrived to the shooting range where Lex invited him to and after the 2 greeted each other Lex asked Repnir a question.

Lex: Repnir would you like to learn how to shoot a gun?

Repnir: Sure, even if I expect to be hopeless at it I can at least give it a go.

Lex: Hahaha, Dont worry with me you'll learn fast enough. Also I talked with Lillieth she just used too strong of a caliber for humnas.

Well start with the normal stuff.

Repnir: Sure, what do you have in mind first.

Lex: Well, you can never go wrong with a trusty revolver. They have regular ones here in this gun range.

Repnir picks up a revolver somewhat hesitantly

Repnir: So, what would you have me do with this?

Lex: Since you are a beginner...

*Notices Repnir's disappointed face regarding the word beginner*

Now, no need to fuss about the truth, and there's nothing to be ashamed about starting something new and not being good it. That's normal.

Anyway since you are a beginner, grab it with both hands and with both eyes constantly open try to aim. When that little metal dent and the target line up, shoot.

Repnir grips the handle of the revolver with both hands and aims it down way of the target, and does as Lex guided, shooting when the sights have lined up, but as he fires he flinches from prior trauma with guns, and the bullet flies towards Lex which he dodges successfully

Lex: ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME FOR THE BEARD OF MERLIN???

Repnir: Sorry, I really did not mean to. Guns are just... Unsettling, for me.

Lex: Ah indeed, you told me about that experience. Calm down, remember that guns, although powerful are just tools, they are only as powerful and as dangerous as the one pointing them wants them to be.

Repnir: That and as dangerous as the amount of way's the target has to deal with them, but yes I get what you mean.

Lex: How about I give you a short demonstration?

Repnir: Sure, go on.

Lex grabs a similar revolver to Repnir's and holds it with his both hands to show the correct posture

Lex: Remember whenever you are aiming a gun, your heart must be as calm as it gets.

He then proceeds to shoot 6 consecutive bulls eyes in a matter of a second

Lex: If you are having a hard time calming down you can always hold your breath when aiming. Do you understand?

Repnir: I'll give it another go then.

Repnir says moving back towards the range. He does as before however as he aims, he holds his breath steady and calms himself as Lex said. As he calms down he takes a shot and hits right near the bulls eye

Lex: Not bad, not bad. For your first proper shot its quite good.

Repnir takes a moment to concentrate again and recover before firing his next shot he hits a number of times near the bulls eye and with his final bullet when he takes a second to concentrate better and line his shot he hits the bulls eye

Lex: Applauding Congratulations my friend on your first bulls eye.

Repnir: Thanks, I'm not used to being praised for basic successes though, but thank you despite that, it's a nice feeling. He says walkin back towards Lex

Lex puts his hand on Repnirs shoulder while laughing

Lex: Hahaha, thank you for being such a good student.

Now if you dont slack off on this practice, you might become a fearsome gunslinger yourself, but you got quite a long road ahead of you if you'll want to reach my level. Watch this.

Lex places six metallic cans on tables around him. He grabs one can and throws it into the air and then proceeds to shoot it 6 times and hitting every single can while ricocheting off that one

Repnir gives a light applause as Lex holsters his gun Very impressive, genuinely Lex.

Lex: Well i hope now you wont fear guns in your hands anymore. Just check their caliber before firing.
