I have a few questions
I have long covid. I have had it now for 15 months. Basically my symptoms are extreme adrenaline, panic episodes, DP/DR, MCAS, horrible stomach issues such as vomiting and diareah randomly and usually in the morning, severe brain fog that feels almost like being mentally handicapped ( I had to leave my job and stay with my parents, my girlfriend thought I was making this up and decided I didn’t want to do anything in life anymore lol ), high heart rate, inability to tolerate any stimulants which a big one for me since I do have adhd and obviosuly the meds that have almost helped me were stimulants and I had to stop the abruptly because it was causing more intense symptoms. I also can’t tolerate coffee anymore which is crazy because I was consuming 2 medium dunkin iced coffees a day. I was also running 3-10 miles 4 times a week and weight training 5 days a week before this happened to me. A lot of people develop long covid like weeks after infection but for me it was like the active infection just continued to get worse. I started getting these odd “attacks” where I couldn’t concentrate, my brain would start racing and I would get extremely anxious with heart rate issues and adrenaline dumps for like 10 hours. It felt like my body was being attacked by a grizzly bear or I was being thrown into the depths of hell. So far the only things that remotely take away my symptoms but don’t make me feel like myself are sedatives of any sort. That could be having 3 beers or me taking a Xanax. I know that alcohol obviously is not the answer to any of this and for a while I was drinking every single day in order to relieve these issues. Not heavily but I was drinking daily and I was never like this at any point in my life. I’m 28 male and was usually full of energy and felt amazing. I ate very clean, didn’t drink much besides on the weekends with my friends, had a stable job for 8 years. All of this came to a hault. My mental state also started going insane when I got this. I never had any sort of mental issues besides adhd and I knew how to deal with that. Basically in a 24 hour period I felt like a completely different person. I can’t even go out to dinner with my family anymore or even really drive long distances because of these bizarre symptoms. I have got lost driving basically 3 miles from my house. Anyway I have tried multiple supplement’s, pacing myself, time as in waiting it out, and even lowering the dose of my adhd meds to see if I can tolerate it which I can’t. I am going to be starting LDN in the next few days. Will this atleast give me some sort of relief from any of this? Also my parents do really even believe me either. I want to get this figured out so I can get the hell out of my house. I guess I can stay at friends for the mean time but there is something about staying in the comfort of your own home when you feel this sick
