Pet abandonment Issue

Can I get a charge for animal abandonment if the puppy is under my name but i never physically got the puppy?

There was a breeder who's partnered with a shipping company. I was supposed to meet up with someone but they flew the dog to texas without my consent. Now I'm being told that if I don't pay to ship the puppy to my house I can be charged with animal abandonment. The puppy just became under my name and I don't have the paperwork to prove that she is mine. I was never given paperwork, nor was i emailed paperwork. But they have my name, number, address, and email. I believe the jurisdiction is in Florida.
