2024 hybrid le: AWD?

Hi all, I'm looking to get a new hybrid corolla as my first major car purchase. I'm wondering if the AWD option is worth the extra money. I live in upstate NY, so it'd be nice to have during winters. I don't know much about cars though, so what is the maintenance like between the two? Would repairs be more expensive and more complicated with AWD?
