______ Mafia: Day 1
Greetings, and welcome to ______ Mafia!
Since you have opted to choose to begin in "Narrative Mode" things will be starting a bit confused, and a bit fast.
Rest assured that everything is under control and I have taken care of everything.
Every single thing that I told you in the introduction thread is true. I will inform you of any changes. Everything will make sense eventually.
The first two phases will be extremely fast! Day 1 begins now! Day 1 will be combined with Night 1! Submit night actions now! Day 2 will begin tomorrow, March 31st, at 8 AM EDT! Day 2 will be combined with Night 2! It shall end March 31st at 8 PM EDT! Then the fun begins and we return to a normal 24 hour cycle! This exists only to set the scene, begin the narrative, and kick off the game! Think of it as a little pre-game that you actually get to play in!
You will require a majority lynch vote (currently 8 players) to lynch during these first two phases!
Roles and rules can be found here.
The brief update to the game can be found here.
I will be increasing the Mafia to 2 kills per night. This is to counteract the strong defensive abilities of the town. They are also going to be given one strongarm kill that cannot be prevented through any means. I may opt to increase this number in the future.
I may take actions to further re-balance things if it is not working out.
TonyFastHooves has opted to drop out. Therefore, u/BerryPi will be taking his place.

The sun rises over Mechanicsburg.
It is a small town. Everyone knows one another, and are good friends. There is truly nothing remarkable about Mechanicsburg. It's only distinguishing feature is the monumental clock that rests in the center of the town square. It is quite an impressive clock, masterfully forged and gilded. It was put together by some genius clocksmith long long ago. When you rest under it you can hear the faint whirs and clicks of a thousand tiny mechanisms keeping it together, faithfully telling the date and time for to everyone in the town.
Soon bodies will be hanging from the clock, unholy fruit borne from the strife about to come. But not yet.
It is the first day of spring. A time for renewal and rebirth. The weather is pleasant and warm, with perhaps a hint of a cool rain in the afternoon.
Most games begin with some catalyst. A brutal murder, a horrible crime, a threat from an evil faction. But last night there was none. Not a single death. No heinous crime, no dark acts. And you all know that there are no mafia in Mechanicsburg. That would be silly.
Let the day begin.
