My cat is constantly meowing. No exaggeration!
Hi all!
I adopted my cat Polly about 14 months ago and I want to start off by saying that she is the most sweet, funny and loving cat I've ever encountered.
She is a tripod cat and had her arm amputated before I adopted her. This means that I cannot let her outside unsupervised at all times. She hates wearing the harness also. Like, she will PANIC! 😩
The only problem I have is that she does not stop meowing unless she's outside with me, eating, playing with me or sleeping. She even cries when she needs to poop!
I love her and I'm so happy I adopted her but I can't handle the constant meowing. I have AuDHD and im not too bad with noises but her high pitched screeching 90% of the time really stressed me out.
I play with her, feed her a intervals, let her out with me for about and hour a day broken into intervals and she has so many toys even automatic ones and I give her so much love and let her into any room I'm in, even the bathroom. My mother says I spoil her which is probably true but I'm not sure what to do about the constant meowing.
If she is fed, played with, been outside and had her love, is it ok to spray her with some water when she's meowing unnecessarily.
Also, she is not sick or in pain it's like she has too much energy but I don't know what more I can do to get it out. Her "in pain/sick" meow is much different than this.
Any advice?
