r/coheed's Song of the Day #37: No World For Tomorrow
For those of you wondering why I haven't posted the past few days.... I have been! u/smoomoo31 The spam filter has screwed me and our helpful mod u/apostleofhustle won't respond to my messages. Spam him and ask him to promote a new mod or do something about my posts in the spam filter. Thanks.
Anyways, No World For Tomorrow. The live staple! It's a great song to listen to, and one of the most exciting in the discography for sure. RAISE YOUR HANDS HIGH! If we weren't supposed to be one with the fence before, we are now. I sound like I'm writing for a cult newsletter.
The Fiction- It was said best in yesterday's post, this song seems to be Claudio's crazy cool war speech. Reminds me of Adama in Battlestar Galactica or Jeff Winger on Community. Long, inspired, empowering speech. But in music form.
The Real- Claudio's life has gotten dramatically better romantically now, but Mic and Josh are gone. It's Travis and Claudio and the pressure is on them to keep it together and keep going. Claudio's reaching out to his fans, his music, his lyrics and his story to keep things going. Or is it bye bye world for Coheed? That's what seems to be on his mind. He's incredibly thankful for the fans and where they are, but also resentful and unsure of the band's status, especially if his brothers are gone because of it.
