Mosquito hawks/crane flies

For reference, I live in northeast Arkansas and there's a ditch not far from my house which I know is contributing to the issue. However, my house is covered in mosquito hawks/crane flies, I know they aren't harmful persay, but I can't even open my front or back door without 4+ flying in and everytime I open my garage door, some fly in.

There's got to be 2-300 of these things on my house and in my yard. But when I look at my neighbors house, there's a fraction of that. I was wondering if anybody knew of anyway to get rid of these things or at least reduce their numbers because I can't even go outside without these things flying at me.
