Synology on different IP than network....Help!

Hi...I have recently moved my Synology NAS to a different network. My Synology has a static IP of 192.168.1.95. My network is 192.168.10.1. I would like to change the static IP but am unable to log into the NAS. I have connected it directly to a laptop but when I attempt to log in, I can input the user name but when I get to the password, I get a message about the password being unencrypted and that it will have to be sent as plain text and then it just spins and never logs in. I would appreciate any help and or advice. Thanks!
