why did i get this notification?

i received a notification from instagram "tap here and we'll log you back in right away instagram notification" not a text but a notification from the app itself even tho i wasn't logged out i also received the same thing as an email from instagram (i checked and its their actual email) i still ignored it and changed my password just in case but i was wondering what could cause this?
