The Purpose of r/ActionForUkraine - Clarification From Your Mod Team

Hi all!

As the subreddit gains traction, we here at the r/ActionForUkraine mod team thought we might give some insight and clarification as to the purpose of this subreddit. This subreddit was created with the intention of spreading ways that you, our dear visitors, can help Ukraine through political action. It is a place through which we as a community can organize and use to promote various Ukrainian interests globally.

This means that posts covering things such as celebrity actions, posts asking for specific instructions rather than laying out instructions, feel good posts, etc., will be removed. This is not a subreddit for news - this is a subreddit for political action.

There are other subreddits out there that already do this, and we'd like to keep posts on extraneous topics to a minimum, so as to bring as much visibility to political actions that need immediate attention now.

As some of you may have already seen, u/abitStoic has been posting both detailed instructions on specific [actions], as well as daily lists of priorities for helping Ukraine in various countries, so as to make your contribution to aiding Ukraine as streamlined as possible. We would suggest you read through those posts carefully, as well as visit our site, actionforukraine.org, before making a topic, so as to avoid making duplicates.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you continue to lend your support to Ukraine! Слава Україні!
