Seeking the gold standard of IQ tests
Has anyone here found what they consider the gold standard of IQ tests? I'm on a journey to truly understand my cognitive abilities but am wary of the myriad of online quizzes and tests claiming to accurately measure intelligence.
I've come across several well-known tests like the Stanford-Binet, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, and the Mensa IQ challenge. Each seems to have its own strengths and methodology, but I'm curious if there's a consensus in this community about which test is the most reliable and valid indicator of one's IQ.
Additionally, I'm interested in the practicality of these tests—cost, accessibility, and whether or not they need to be administered by a professional.
Would love to hear your experiences, recommendations, and any advice you may have on navigating the path to finding a trustworthy measure of intelligence.
