Just discovered IO
Hello, I am an undergraduate working on my B.S. in Psychology. I am almost done, and I have a problem. Recently I figured out that there was really no field of psych I wanted to do. This was crushing to me. I figured I would get my B.S. and then get some kind of non-psych related job. I was so defeated I didn't bother getting research, or trying to get letters. This previous semester I decided to take a course called Workplace Psych in order to collect my psych credits. It was an IO class. I loved it. It was the first class in long time where I made an effort to try and ace each exam, rather than skating by with a B. It also marks the first time I found myself participating in class. I feel a renewed desire to continue my education. I really like the practitioner side of things. I want to do some form of consulting rather than academic work. I think this means I should seek my Master's. Now I am worried that I don't have and research or letters. I still have a year to go, will that be enough time to to this? Do I have a shot? My GPA is decent, 3.5, and I have yet to take the GRE. Can anyone give me some advice? I plan on going to talk to my professor about it soon. Thanks for your help.
