Remote PC showing as offline...

I have used unattended remote control twice, and both times it worked fine for about a day, then suddenly it shows up as offline. My housemate told me it was still on, however, so I don't know why. f
Anyone have any idea what could cause the remote PC to show up as offline when it is seemingly plugged in, connected to the internet? It is set to never shut down or sleep. Thanks.
