How expensive are repairs/maintenance?

Question???

Im looking to buy a used Fiat 500 something 2012-2016 range. I’ve had a few friends tell me that repairs on a fiat can be expensive. Sellers obviously assured me otherwise haha. Is a fiat more expensive to repair? Can anyone give me some example numbers?
