peteyboo's Code of Conduct
Hello everyone! My name is peteyboo (this is actually a lie generated by the Internet) and I have, after much thought, decided to delve into the world of hosting UHC matches. Because I am a host, I get to order you all around like the maggots you are bwahahaha make the rules. And these rules are as follows:
-
I am supreme overlord. It's my server and I get to make the decisions. I will listen to you, and I will usually accept reasonable requests, but I don't have to, just as you don't have to be in my matches if you don't agree.
-
It's easier to get what you want by not being a dick. If you speak nicely, you will be treated nicely. I don't care about profanity in situations where it may be called for, but just don't be a dick. And this is your "average human" definition of being a dick, not your definition at the moment.
-
No cheating. This includes branch mining, strip mining, x-raying, hacked clients, and other things that give you an unfair advantage. Optifine zoom is allowed, mods that put your coordinates on screen at all times are allowed, and anything else should be brought up with me before attempting to use it in a match. If I catch you disobeying this rule, you will most likely be banned from at least a few of my matches.
-
If you suspect someone of cheating or otherwise have a question that should not be asked in public chat (please use common sense here), please pm me or an admin either in game or on Reddit if it can wait. Do not make a scene in the public chat, especially if it's about a cheater, because it will only make them harder to catch.
-
No one is perfect. I can't catch everything that happens. Other people will make mistakes as well. Forgive and forget and the world will be a better place.
-
By entering any of my matches, you are accepting the fact that Minecraft is inherently glitchy. If you are killed by something that shouldn't normally kill you, I can't do anything about it. Most likely, I will not have seen it happen and I cannot tell whether you are lying. And even if I have seen it, it would not be fair to give you back health while not giving it back to someone else. If you complain too much (at my discretion) you will be kicked and if it happens again, you will be temporarily banned for that match. In short, this.
-
Try to come to a team game with a team in mind, unless it is random (like Moles). Please PM me or another op your team, and do not spam the public chat with it!
-
In addition, if you are joining a team game, please make sure you have a microphone and access to something like TeamSpeak or Skype, or come with a team that is already prepared to not use these programs. You MUST have a mic and access to TeamSpeak for mole games, although if a team agrees to use Skype, that is okay as well.
-
PVP will be turned on the first night unless otherwise noted!
-
Meetup is generally around 0,0. It may change due to the terrain, but will generally be around that area, so check for the pink text when it's time! Also, you are to move towards those coords immediately. Do not stay underground to craft. Do not dig for ores. Do not go looking for chickens or cows or gravel. The only reason you have to not head towards the meetup point is if you get into a fight. No exceptions!
-
In addition, no forts or towers are to be built. You may build one wall for protection, and you may climb trees for position or cover, but you are not allowed to be protected on all sides or be so far above people that they can't get to you without extreme risk. This is, as usual, up to my discretion, and if I ask you to leave a structure that I deem inappropriate, please comply!
-
I generally do not allow spectators, because people complain about them blocking shots or block placement. Only if I know and trust you, and if you are one of the few remaining people, will I even consider it, so please don't ask.
-
Please leave soon after you die. People need to know who remains, and if you're on the list at full health, they may change their actions based on that, which is not good!
-
Have fun!
If you like my matches, and feel like contributing a bit to help me host more, you can donate a little bit here.
