Wedding makeup round 2! Tried to take into consideration some CC from last time. Keep the tips and suggestions coming :)
So my first B&A for trial wedding makeup didn't turn out as well as I was hoping. After spending more time with my makeup and lurking hardcore on this subreddit, I've changed a few things to hopefully improve. I've been really working on my face makeup and eyebrows for the wedding. The eyeshadow and lips are for today only. Let me know what you guys think, please!
First time: Bad lighting, still new to face makeup
List of products: Skincare: -Strange homemade toner make with willow bark extract, green tea, & tea tree oil -Aveeno Clear complexion
Face: -Covergirl CG Smoothers "BB Cream" (more like tinted moisturizer, but that's what I wanted anyway) in light -Almay smart shade pressed powder in light -Rimmel bronzer in light -Covergirl instacheekbones in peach perfection -Tarte finishing powder (sweet sample!!!) -Tarte Maracuja creaseless concealer in fair
Eyebrows: -Covergirl brow pencil in honey brown
Eyes: -Rimmer match perfection concealer & highlighter in fair (used for under eye circles and eyelid primer) -Maybelline define-a-line in brownish black -Benefit They're Real! -Tarte call to the wild palette
Lips: Covergirl lip perfection jumbo gloss balm in (245)
Things I feel good about: -My eyeshadow abilities. Today's look is very very natural, and I tend to keep it relatively subtle because I'm so pale -My mascara abilities (I swear I didn't have the dreaded mascara dots on my lid earlier today!!! Tips for avoiding that since my eyelashes touch my brow bone?) -My lip color application (in general)
Things I am slowly getting the hang of: -Face makeup. I never used to wear face makeup at all because I didn't want to cover my freckles. My MUA research suggested tinted moisturizer to still be able to see freckles and I'm very happy about that. It's hard for me to know how to properly cover blemishes. That "time" always brings terrible breakouts for me. I've been on r/skincareaddiction lurking for some tips. If anyone has tips for concealing blemishes, please comment.
-using blush & bronzer for contouring purposes. How did I do?
Things I'm uncomfortable with: -eyebrows. In this picture I VERY lightly filled in some gaps that were visible at a distance. Too much pencil makes me feel like a clown. Am I doing ok? I don't want everyone at my wedding to be like "wow she did something with her eyebrows" I feel comfortable with them the way they are, even though they aren't perfectly shaped.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any tips and tricks! Once I get everything perfected and my skin clears up some more, I'll do another full wedding makeup with red lips and all. :)
