I wouldn't have guessed it, but the pokemon mystery dungeon beats the normal pokemon games.

Maybe the pokemon formula for the normal games is just overused, but I was really surprised when I rented pokemon mystery dungeon: gates to infinity and I ended up playing through the entire game and then some.

I got so into the story that a few parts made me tear up a bit, especially the ending. The soundtrack is also awesome, and fighting pokemon without trainers involved brings an interesting aspect to the game. I really hope the new pokemon game coming out this year has a better plot than homoerotic bad guys with a legendary pokemon trying to take over the world. I never really feel accomplished when I beat those games.

Anyone else play the pokemon dungeon games before?
