Been done before - but the stories never get old... MOST EMBARRASSING BIKE TALES
Here are my unfortunate incidents -
- Dropped bike after catching trouser leg on foot peg.
- Beeped at someone by accident instead of cancelling indicators.
- Crashed into the back of my mate whilst leaving junction; i was watching traffic and heard him pull away so i dumped the clutch and instantly hit the back of him, breaking his number plate. Turns out he was just revving... (50cc)
- Lost traction on both wheels whilst overtaking my boss in his car (600cc) almost dropping it.
- Left from a party and hit a patch of gravel, ditching it in a verge, had to push the broken 50cc back to party, park in driveway and get lift home.
- Again, on my 50, tried my first wheelie in an empty car park. Dropped it instantly after touching down. (Friends all saw)
- Rear bulb had blown on old 600, had to tape torch to back of bike as substitute to get home at night (breakdown cover not present, lesson learnt)
- Drove off with disc brake on at school, in view of many class mates.
- Left my heated grips on after arriving at work. Had no battery to get home.
- Put the bike on its new centre stand - figured out my feet dont touch the ground, so when I then sit on the bike to roll it back on its wheels, i cant reach.
- Arrived at work in front of manager - dropped bike in car park.
I would like to say I am unable to remember to remember any more because i have learnt my lessons... but i'm sure i will trip up sooner or later...
