Use of bikini zone after shaving?

Has anyone else done this? I just shaved for the first time with my SR (I just got it back from Larry Atty whipped dog). Afterward my neck had razor burn all over it. Im heading to a military formal and needed to look clean... anyway the bikini zone seems to be working.
