Considering move to Nashville, have a few specific questions
(First post to Reddit, so please let me know if I'm making too much of a fool of myself!)
I'm planning to leave my current city in the next year or so and Nashville is high on my list of possible cities to relocate to. I've visited 3 or 4 times already since my parents retired to the Loudon area recently. Some specific questions:
*Can I get around without having a car? I hate driving and don't do it. Biking, walking and public transportation have served me well thus far, but in cities considerably more dense than Nashville.
*How is the visual/performing art and theatre scene? I love the Frist and am applying to a position there this weekend. Anywhere else I should be looking?
*Will my employment (or advancement) opportunities be limited by my tattoos? I work in a professional environment currently and no one cares, but I'm used to living on the coasts. Locations include chest piece, half sleeve, ankles, small ones on one finger and behind one ear.
*Are you guys really over the whole next-hipster-mecca thing? 'Cause... I won't lie here... I am totally hipster trash.
