Obtaining Bitcoins

I'm U.K, I want to be able to buy bitcoins and use them @ silkroad quickly without having to pay way more than bitcoins are worth or really high fees.

I can pay via credit card, paypal, moneybookers or bank transfer, what's best for me?

(Yeah, I've used Google, I cant find anything decent)
