My mother has been visiting me in London for the past week and still won't stop chatting to strangers.
She has been here since Tuesday and still can't grasp the fact that speaking to strangers is a no no. Earlier today she sat next to a man on the tube, asked him what he was reading and then struck up conversation with him. Add to the fact she just can't seem to stand on the right, stops in the middle of the walkways and engages all the charity muggers in conversation. I am losing hope of teaching her the London way of getting around.
For extra information: YES she is from the north.
